I just want to express my personal opinions regarding this "Fair Usage Policy". After reading Smart's official article about their stupid fair use policy, I can't help myself from doing this post. Here's why:
If you're a regular reader of my blog, you may already know how bad my "Smart Bro Experience" was. I couldn't even remember the last time I was able to enjoy their service. Every time I tried to request for a technician to check our internet problems personally, they always say that there's nothing they can do because the reason behind the crap was CONGESTION IN OUR AREA.
Now, is this "congestion" our fault? Hell no! It's their job to control the number of subscribers within an area. All their records are encoded, so a few clicks on their keyboards should show them the accurate number of subscribers in an area whenever someone's trying to apply for a new plan.
Or are they that dumb to accept and accommodate excessive subscriptions despite the fact that "congestion" is their main problem? I don't think so.
It's all about the money, of course. To conceal this, they came up with a more stupid idea - they released this "Smart's Fair Usage Policy" which lowers the internet speed to manage overall internet usage. What's worse is the fact that even their remaining loyal subscribers who signed up for "up 2 Mbps unlimited plan" are affected.
