Already Stopped Paying My Smartbro Canopy Plan

Smart Bro Canopy Electronic Bill - Stopped Paying Smartbro

So.. yeah. I already stopped paying my Smartbro Canopy Plan. Who could blame me? First of all, it was because of their very poor service (check out my smartbro speedtests). The other reason is how they treat their subscribers' concerns (check out these smartbro experiences from me and other people).

I don't care if I would be blacklisted from Smart Bro or even from the whole Smart Telecommunications. I can no longer pay for something that is obviously useless.

As for this blog, I'll still continue posting since I still have a few friends who are still suffering from their trashy Smartbro plans. If you want to share your own Smartbro experiences and stories, make sure to check this out!

dahil ang normal speed nila ay 1.6 nakuha ko rin yun dahil nagalaw ko ang canopy ko

Good evening. I'm a Smart Bro Plug-It 999 Subscriber for more than two years already. I was fairly satisfied with my subscription until recently when I started having problems with getting a stable signal. I'm thinking of terminating my subscription, but, like you, I don't want to pay my bill for this month since I didn't get to use the service. My question is, if I don't pay my bill for this month and they disconnect my subscription, would you happen to know if my outstanding bill would accumulate each month until I pay it? Thanks a lot!

Good decision, they implemented capping once you reach 15GB a month. It's fucking stupid, I will stop paying for mine as well - already informed them about it and screw their contract, I'm willing to pay out the discount they gave me that is now worth a year but I will not pay for another 12 months of worthless service.

Ako nga year 2009 as in 4 yrs ako nagtiis sa lame connection at poor cust service ng smartbro dahil no choice ako dahil cla lang ang net connection dto sa area nmin..i decided na magpaterminate na ng connection kc patapos na din ung lock in period ko,by the way nung natapos ko ung 2yrs lock in ko tinanong ko sa service center kung pde ko ng gamitin ung advance MSF na bnayaran ko nung application ang sabi sa akin magagamit lng dw un pag nagpa cut na ako ng line or upon termination dun maiiapply,so sabi ko cge icontinous ko na lang for another 2yrs..and now April 2013 tpos na ang lock in ko ulit so ndi na ako ngbayad ng lastbill ko w/c is iooffset ko na lng dun sa advance MSF ko.. Nagpunta ako sa service center then sabi nla may babayaran pa dw ako then cnabi ko ung concerns ko then sabi iforward dw ako sa collection kc ndi nla alam ung transaction nun.. So while talking sa agent sabi nya kunin ko dw ung pinagbayaran ko ng application kc wla clang copy sabi ko hahanapan nya ako ng billing/receipt 4yrs ago sa tingin nya ba cno ang mas accesible sa amin malamang cla dahil computer generated ang system . Then pinakausap ang teamlead/supervisor na ata sa akin via phone ang sabi nya sa akin nakita dw nla ung account ko so nagamit na dw ung advance payment sa 1st month? Sabi ko pano magagamit e ang policy nyo nga upon termination saka pa lang pde magamit ang advance. Tpos after a minute na naka hang ako sa phone bnalikan ako sabi nanaman ang rason e upon checking dw may isang buwan dw ako nung year 2009 na ndi nkabayad so duon na offset ,sabi ko nagooffset kayo without informing me at kung ppyag ba ako tpos ngyon malalaman ko wla na pala ung advance MSF ko.tpos ayun sabi na lng nya magrerequest na nga lang dw cla sa main office ng data pra makasigurado sa advance MSF ko.. Nagpaterminate na din ako on that day ng subscription sa kanila buti na lang at pumayag na iterminate ng service center ung account ko without paying the last bill ang sabi sa service center collection na lang dw ang kokontak sa kin tungkol sa payment related issues.. Hay grabeng experience at sakit ng ulo ang smartbro canopy..

We too were experiencing smart bro wimax problem, 3 months already since we bought the 999 plan which are lock up for two years, we already have a dozen of complain but they can't do any better we ask for termination of contract but they were reluctant about it....we planning to get this to DTI but don't know how? Can you recommend what we're going to do?..

for me kung sino makakapasa ng bill na tanggalin ang 2 year lock-in contract na yan sya ang iboboto ko this coming election.lol! bakit pag motorcycle installment wlang 2 year lock-in(2x) na yan? bakit kaya wlang magawa ang gobyerno sa mga TELCOM na yan?

we will disconnect smart bro after three years of service. as of may 2 the smartbro has throttled down the enet connection, claiming fair usage policy, well at 200kb/s connection, down to only 20kb/s, now thats 100000 times slower than the advertised rate of 2mbs. pretty insane. so not unlimmited anymore! they limit it with the speed and i guess thats legal! what is the government department that is supposed to be watching out over us! look alive! geezzz! who can live with 20kb/s! and not to be notified of the change in policy after three years of loyalty to smart. is not fair policy! wow! we will change to globe or whoever we can, it has to be better than that.

MGA KAIBIGAN HINGI LANG AKO NG ADVICE SA INYO. TUNGKOL SA SMARTBRO ENTERNET CONNECTION (CANOPY). LEGAL BA YUNG MONTHLY BILLING KO DUMARATING BUWAN BUWAN? KAHIT HINDI NA AKO NAG RENEW NG KONTRATA SA KANILA.

KAYA LANG HINDI KO PA NA CLOSE YUNG ACCOUNT SA KANILA, KASI NASA IBANG BANSA PA PO AKO? AT PALAKI NG PALAKI YUNG BILL KO KASAMA NA YUNG ENTEREST.

Sa palagay ko yang mga 'fair use policy' kuno na yan ng ilang local ISP kagaya ng Smart Bro-ken ay panapal lang nila para pagtakpan ang kakulangan nila sa infra para i-handle ang dumaraming subscriber. Puro kasi sila kabig ng bagong nauutong subscriber ng mga false advertisement nila. Hindi naman kaya ng sistema nila.

Subscriber rin kami ng family ko, no choice kasi sa lugar namin. Well, dati yun. And since kay kapatid nakapangalan ang subscription, its up to him kung kelan ipapuputol ang pesteng Internet service ng Smart Bro-ken. Sabi ko sa kanya mag-wire na lang tayo, at huwag PLDT, Smart, Digetel o Sun, tutal pwede na niyang ipaputol anytime at hati naman kami sa bayad.

Yang galaw-galaw ng canopy, nagawa ko na rin yan before. Technician pa nila mismo nagturo sa akin. Pumunta sa bahay, kinulit ko kasi yung CSR, plus nag-email ako sa NTC na naka-CC yung DTI at BCC lang ang Smart. Yun lang wala namang nangyari. Mas mabilis pa rin ang pagong. I think, mako-control mo ang bandwith ng canopy, pero yung control sa amount ng data na nare-receive ng canopy, eh mga server nila ang may control. So, bale wala lang kahit anong configuration pa ang gawin mo sa canopy.

Hindi ko na inaasahan ang mga government official na aksyunan pa ang ganitong klase ng problema. Last decade pa lang, marami na akong nababasa at nariring na kapalpakan ng mga local ISP, particularly Smart Bro-ken. Pero may nangyari ba? Wala.

i have been a user before of that canopy type, and my experience is the same if not even worser than many of us here. even if the lock in period already expired they continue to charged you even if u are no longer using it because of the very poor service. all i can say about smartbro...they are greedy people

Some facts: Smart bro throttling ay limited sa 200 kbps not 20 kbps (use your eyes)

I know it sucks balls :(

and another would be that I read that NTC only published an statement stating that Data Throttling shall be implemented accross every ISP's but not less that 80% of the total advertised speed, meaning if you subscribed to a 1mbps connection, you should be getting 800kbps when throttled...

Akala ko kami lang may problema sa smartbro, akala ko putol na linya namin kasi more down a week nang walang net, system down pala... konting hangin lang at ulan wala ng signal at wala nman gngwa smartbro kapag naitatawag haisssstttt sayang yung binabayaran

malapit nang matapos ung contract ko with smart regarding plan999 24 month contract..... wala man lang akong nakikitang magandang offer sa kanila..... kakainis nga... almost a year ko na rin naiipon ung smart points ata un... di ko kasi alam e reedeem.... ang putcha di man lang ako nainform.. na email, na text basta hindi ako nainform na ung smart 999 naging pldt my bro na.. tas lahat ng points na naipon ko wala na....F*Ck. kakainis.... tas meron silang REBATES na inoofer maganda ba un??? ung nererenew ung plan ng maaga bago pa maexpired ung contract.. eh kaso 6 months lang ung least month at 24 months ung longer additional contract..... sa tingin nyo?? will i still get an additional month contract??? ung rebates lang naman eh 600,700,800,900,.........tas pag 24 months additional contract maay 166.50rebate per month so bali ung babayaran is less 166.50 dun sa 999????? sa tingin nyo?????? IS the offer sulit??? or walang kwenta rin???

Buti na lang i saw this blog before I went to smart office to apply for Wimax/Canopy. I will also apply for the Globe 1,299 with landline instead. I wanted data only plan sa Globe but they said di daw available here in Cebu???

hi guys! i have a really bad experience with smart..wat if hindi ko na babayaran ang remaining balance ko im using ung canopy nila and i dont want to continue my contract sa kanila which really sucks! kakasuhan ba ako ng smart telecom? haha

Natawa naman ako dito, hahahaha! Actually ganyan din ako samin, unting ulan lang wala ng connection. 6 months na ata akong hindi nagbabayad hahahaha.. Ewan ko lang kung nagbi-bill pa din ako sa months na hindi ko na paggamit.

Same here. almost 7mos.nako hndi nag ba2yad.but ill still receive monthly bills and nadaragdagan ito kaht hndi ko na gnagamit ung connection. Almost 4mos.ako nagrereport sa smart but wla padn cla nagagawan ng paraan. Sa sobrang inis ko hndi nalang ako nag bayad. What will happen kng hndi ko na maba2yad ung outstanding balance ko? any suggestion or comment pls.

Hello po. Magpapatulong lang po sana ako tungkol dun sa nakaplan kong broadband. almost 2 -3 months ko syang di binayaran pero dun sa mga months na yun eh nagamit ko yung broadband ko. Hanggang ngayon ay di ko pa sya nababayaran. Tumutubo na ba yung bills ko? o iteterminate na ng smart yung plan ko? Thanks. :)

Ito para latest January 3 2014 ! Walang hiyang Smartbro WiMax na ito ! April 2013 kami nagpakabit ng SMART BRO WIMAX. First and second month, maganda pa ang connection pero pagdating ng 3rd month hanggang ngaun, Putcha! ang bagal na at nawawala pa ang net namin. Gusto ko naring ipa-terminate yung account namin, kaso nang mabasa ko yung mga posts dito about sa 24 months lock-in period ay nabahala ako. Pero, buo na loob k0, Hindi ko na rin babayaran yung bills ko, peste sila. magaling lang manghuthot ng pera.

Nung first time ko magpakabit ng smart sobrang pagsisisi,araw2 tumatawag ako s hotline,may pu2ntang technician magka2roon pag alis wala na,laking abala ang kktawag s hotline kaya pala libre ang call s knila,pinapa cut ko o ire2fund daming cnsbi matatagalan daw kunin at pag pina cut ko bbyaran ko daw ung nati2rang month sa lock in period ko dahil nakapirma daw s contract,kahit n nakapirma,malay b nting ganun serbisyo nila,umulan lang at humangin dina maka connect nagpadagdag pa ng tubo 650 wala din ngyare,kaya tlagang di bayaran,may dumadating sking bill bka huntingin ako at may kaso b yun.

guys 3months na ko d nagbabayad sa smart. anung mangyayare pag dmo na bbayaran? ung ibang friend ko sabi masisira lang daw name ko sa smart pero ung contrata wala lang namn daw un.. ok lng ba na dna mabayaran until matapos ung contract?

I have the same experience with you guys. Im currently subscribe to smart canopy, but due to bad connection and i month palng na delay ang pagbabayad na disconnect kaagad ako. so, hindi kuna piangpatuloy yung pagbabayd. but still nkakatanggap parin ako ng bill. tapos panay ang tawag sakin ng smart. na forward nadaw ang account ko sa law firm for legal action. anu ba gagawin ko to terminate this crap subscription??

Tangina. A proper way (for me) to start my rant about smartbro (which is now PLDT Home Bro). We have been a loyal customer of smartbro for 2 years. Ok naman dati kasi siguro isang pc lang ang gumagamit. Pero these past few months sobrang bumagal talaga, as in dial up speed. Sa ngayon may wifi router kami, 4gadgets are sharing. Hindi karamihan at sa tingin ko hindi makatarungan kung sa apat na gadget na un eh magiging sobrang bagal ng connection. Anyway, i have an online shop at ang internet syempre ang isang bagay at ang unang bagay na magpapatakbo ng negosyo ko. Pero sobrang nakakabwisit na. Sobra. Ni renew ng tatay ko ang contract namin (without consulting us, the other family members, although we cant do anything dahil sya ang account holder) for another two years! Kesyo 2mbps na daw ang speed ng smartbro dahil pasasalamat ito sa sobrang dami ng cuatomers nila. Bottomline. Nauto nila kami. Last month nalaman ko na 800+ nalang ang binabayaran namin. Bumaba. BUT I DONT FUCKING CARE!! SOBRANG BAGAL!!! This night ive made a decision na kakausapin ko na nanay ko para wag na bayaran yang lecheng smartbro na yan. Sa kanila na yan. Isaksak nila sa lalamunan nila.

Sorry for the bad words pero sobrang nakakaasar lang.

GS2 ko n rn paputol ung smart ko eh. first 5 months lng mabilis. after nun 3months n ko 2mtwag. 2mitigil lng ako 2mawag pag sasabihin n lng antayin withn 24hours.. wew. galing tlga. hmm bakit wala n ung ibang nagccomment n ndi nagbbyad? naka-kulong na ba? haha! 2 months n rn ako paputol putol ang bayad eh.

11.2013..Wanted Internet access..went to smart..they recommended pocket wifi..within two days went back cause it was not working ..around 9 pm up to 50kbs..after big discussion mybro canopy..today is 03.02.2014 they haven't retuned my 800 peso what i paid for pocket wifi shit,which they recommended.I dont get a bill ..its ok..but I have to pay every month 0n 12th.I paid feb 12th.my next payment due 12 of march..1st of march I got sms telling I owe 999 pesos. Even though I haven't done anything wrong they reduced the speed to 300kbs..Tomorrow I am going to St Rosa SM to talk to some one from smart for the 7th time since I got this shitty Internet access..GOD BLESS SMART AND PLDT !

Mga walang hiya pldt smart company. Mag globe nlang kayo. Pero sa globe may limit. 1Gig lng in 1 day. Maging mabagal na after consuming a 1 gig. 2 hours lang ubos na 1 gig kung magdadownload ka. Kaya parehas lang mga gahaman na company.
